Colour of gear lever knob:

For 5 and 6 Speed transmissions for using original gearshift cables after facelift.
Fitted for all R53 from 2004/01 (Facelift) & R56 pre facelift R53 cars require shiftcables of R53 facelift (BMW ART NO 25117527283 & 25117547371).
We are able to deliver for € 125,51.
For installing you have to remount the exhaust and heattplates. Shifter will be mounted from downside. No other modifications necessary at the car. Center console have to be modified. Switches have to move away.
Only available in anodised black.
Colour of gear lever knob: black, orange, blue, red, silver or titanium grey.

Included in delivery: gearshift lug completely assembled, covering plate, all screws, installation instructions.

In collaboration with our tuners we have developed the shifter with a focus motorsport.
The gearshift now is closer to the steering wheel (higher), thereby resulting in a more comfortable shift feel. The known high precision is maintained:

CAE Ultra Shifter

Optimised for motor sports

Short and super-precise shifting travel, exclusively H-pattern and suitable for 4-, 5- and 6-gear transmissions. The coupling system remains in its original form.

Racing-style appearance.

All shifters are characterised by their optimal ergonomics with a focus on motor sports: perfect positioning of the shift lever close to the steering wheel. The shift pattern for all shifters is confined to approx. 70x70 mm.

Activation of the reverse gear lock via cable reel from the shift lever. An accidental changing to the reverse gear is impossible. The reverse gear is unlocked by pulling up the sliding collar on the shift lever. (Only if the transmission has no integrated lock.)

Low weight and high stability: the milled and lathed parts consist of 7075 aluminium alloy; the substructures are made out of laser-cut, 3mm thick AlMg3 aluminium. The parts are combined in the WIG welding process and brushed blank for an optimal finish.

Problem-free shifting of gears under stress or in curves.

Integrated centre position spring, ensuring perfect feedback when changing columns while shifting up and down.

Right/left stops and reverse gear stop adjustable separately.

Simple installation through complete conversion kit: All systems are delivered with all small parts, fastening material and detailed installation instructions.

All shifters are intended for vehicles without interior equipment or without a centre console and make use of the mounting points of the original shift lever.
